To answer your question,we would have recommended fine needle aspirates, biopsy with histopathology, or mass removal with histopathology for diagnosis of the lump. We may say that we suspect a type of tumor, however we cannot diagnose it without cellular confirmation. Please let us know if we can be of any additional assistance.
Posted By : Dog Lover Posted : 3/27/2009 Comments : I am looking for a veterinarian who will be very proactive when it comes to my pet's health. Last year I was worried when I found some lumps on my dog. The lumps were palpated and I was told not to worry, they were just lipomas. Now I know that a definitive diagnosis can only be made with a biopsy. How I wish I'd known that then...my dog is dying of cancer now. Would you have recommended a needle aspiration?
Posted By : Pam Lane Posted : 1/24/2009 Comments : Cowboy was my 6 year old Australian Sheppard. He was not only a dog to me, but my best friend, companion, protector, a special part of our family who will always have a special place in our heart.
He is gone from our sight, but never our memory, gone from our hearing but never our hearts. Gone from our touch, but his presence is felt, and the unconditional love he gave to us will never be forgotten. God speed Cowboy, run, and have fun till I see you again.
